A walk that takes between 1 -2 hrs. mainly walking through the tea fields and interacting with the locals while they harvest tea and care at the nursery beds. It’s a very special experience where the locals try to teach and explain the whole process of growing and harvesting tea. You also learn about different types of tea and their gestation period. On request, our guides can organize a visit to a nearby tea factory (if it’s the right day for visitors to the factory)

Room for improvement My wife and I stayed at this property one night and were received very warmly by Nicholas the manager. However, everything else was really average! Wifi was dodgy, food options for vegetarians was limited, and the restaurant staff were very keen to remove your plates before you were finished with your meal!

A Great Campers' Retreat with a Lovely Restaurant We arrived here spontaneously in the off-season and were pleasantly surprised. Finding a fantastic spot for our rooftop tent was a breeze. The camping facilities were basic but functional. The restaurant and the food were delightful, offering a great view of the valley and the stunning landscape. There were comfortable chairs to relax in as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as campers. What made it even better was the exceptionally helpful, efficient, and friendly staff. This place is a fantastic choice for campers looking for a lovely restaurant.

Super place to stay We were here for 2 nights on our tour of Uganda to of course take part in the Chimp trekking in Kibale Forest. It was a beautiful setting over looking the forest valley. It was nice to wander the gardens and watch all the different birds and see the tea and pineapples growing. We were in a room in the main house which was well appointed with its own bathroom. The beds were comfy and had mosi-nets. It dated back to when it was a British tea plantation owners house a few decades ago and felt a bit like staying in your grandmas house but in a nice familiar way. The shower was a bit hit and miss - hot water took ages and then came and went and it smelt of the ancient pipes but it was enough to get us clean. The staff were super lovely and the food (served over in the separate dining area) was really tasty with good choice of main meal and breakfast options (we were even asked if we wanted soft medium or firm scrambled eggs!)

Nice place, but left with a sour taste Stayed here as part of a tour with another couple. We were in a very nice cabin up the hill (muddy walk up unfortunately) but lovely. Views and grounds were beautiful and food very decent indeed The only sour taste was that we had specifically arranged in advance for power / generator overnight because one of our party had sleep apnea and needed a machine to breathe. No mention that this would be an issue. We reminded them when we got there, still no problem. In the morning when we got up, we were asked to hand over $50.00 US “to run the generator”. As this was the only place in the whole of Uganda or Kenya or South Africa that this happened, it seems like opportunistic ripping off of the stupid tourists to me. I wouldn’t go back there despite the good things, because it felt like we were being exploited, because they could. A bit disappointing.

Heel mooie lodge!

Comfortable Lodge with Great Service and Stunning View Wife and I stayed here during a six-day trip in Uganda. We stayed the night before embarking on a chimpanzee trek in Kibale National Park, and we loved our stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was well-appointed, and was situated with an absolutely breathtaking view of Kibale National Park below. The food in the restaurant was tasty, and the service was impeccable. Everybody we met on staff was so friendly and helpful as well. There are a couple of dogs on the premises, and they are so cute, sweet, and playful! We got to pet and snuggle one of them, which was so nice because we missed our own pups at home! What a fantastic lodge to stay in if you're in this part of Uganda!

Lodge with a beautiful garden and a great viw We stayed at the lodge for 2 days during our fantastic safari to Uganda. We were welcomed by really friendly people, got cold juice and a towel. The lodge is placed in the middle of a huge, well maintained and beautiful garden. The garden has a big number of flowers, trees and birds - really nice. The view over the Forrest and a nearby lake is extraordinary and makes you reflect. The rooms are great, spacious and with a nice bathroom having hot water. The restaurant is open and with the great view over the area. The food was delicious, well prepared and served by friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lodge surrounded by stunning views Beautiful lodge with the most outstanding views and very convenient to see the chimps in Kibale National Park. All the staff were charming and attentive and the food was very good. The reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars was that in all the other lodges we stayed in coffee and tea was freely available at all times and water was also served as a matter of routine at all meals which was not done here. Having said that everything else here was excellent.

Great lodge This was my favourite lodge on our trip. I wish we stayed longer than a night. The huts are spacious and comfortable. There are mosquito nets. The garden is beautifully kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can book a nature walk with a guide for 15 USD pp. The tour takes you to the volcanic lakes and around the community, we saw a few monkeys on the way. We enjoyed the food. If you are vegan, don’t worry, the chef even presented us with different options to choose from. The portions are huge as always in Uganda.
